The customer must read and follow all instructions and preparation details that appear on BreatheCoat packaging and ensure that BreatheCoat paints and coatings are compatible with the substrate to be painted and any existing paint on the surface.
The customer must check that the BreatheCoat paints and coatings supplied are the correct colour before commencing painting and report any visual discrepancy immediately painting begins, to limit the amount of the wrong colour of paint being applied.
Only complete, unopened packages can be taken into account if there is any claim of product failure and a detailed report with order details and the mixing and application procedures followed, including weather conditions, must be submitted.
BreatheCoat takes all reasonable care to ensure that its products comply with all known quality standards, consistent with the age of the product.
BreatheCoat is not responsible for wrong application and/or mixing and surface preparation.
Avoid painting in direct sunlight on a hot day. If this must be done, then the surface must first be moistened with water and moistened again after painting. Use a fine water mist spray to ensure that there is enough water for cross linking of the cementitious paint.
Avoid painting in strong winds for the same reasons as above.
Use a BreatheCoat recommended mixer with the correct shear action and speed. The mixer is to be fitted into an electric hand drill to achieve a homogeneous and creamy paint.
Follow the mixing instructions and application recommendations meticulously.
In the case of a proven product failure, any labour costs are excluded.
Any loss of income, business or inconvenience is excluded.
Product replacement claims are based on pro-rata product use and guarantee period.
A detailed written claim report must be submitted, with product samples for analysis.
Colour fading is inescapable in RSA due to high ultra-violet light conditions.
Do not use leftover cementitious paint the following day.
Paint failure due to plaster cracks or inconsistent plaster or substandard building materials, structural damage, excessive migration of saltpetre and rising damp, water leaks or any water ingress.
BreatheCoat reserves the right to revise this disclaimer whenever product improvements, governmental regulations or any other valid cause require it. All finishes and colours displayed are for illustration purpose only and may not represent the real and final product appearance exactly.
